In linguistics in the twentieth century. anthropocentric paradigm came to fore, within which attention and interest of researchers shifts from object knowledge subject, that is, focused on study a person, linguistic personality all its manifestations. Despite long-running debate over whether consciousness determines language or our consciousness, it is generally accepted there profound interaction between thought cannot be ignored. The environment exists human mind form concepts logical categories fixed tokens. this regard, abstract nouns are particular because they do not reflect world visible tangible, but properties, signs, actions.
 article analyzes concept "abstractness" point view, philosophical basis affects understanding general. Philosophers (Aristotle, Boethius, Lewis S. Foyer, Plato) thoroughly interpret "abstract". linguistics, abstraction denotes qualities, states, actions exist themselves, separately. However, certain noun acquires specific meaning presence context corresponding token describes. Comparison concrete observed at levels structure, number words significant indicator level development Language - direct reality thought, definitions verbally fixes definition reality.
